@Thesbmusic dry comedy is more of british humor such as Ricky Gervais and The Office. This is more of a exaggerated realism to a common situation. Furthermore, the fact that he has a prop (real or not) makes it even more hilarious because the audience believes it. It is simply laughing at a funny situation.
